This signing is not going to change the trajectory of this program. I’m ’unimpressed’ at best. My question; how can we consistently get our ass kicked by a team from a small private school in pee-oria, Il and on Valparaiso, Indiana? How? Do they have that much more support than us? Show me the...
Maybe. I certainly hope so, but Myles is not Tone. He is not a 3 point shooter. His ball handling is; not elite. Against most MVC defenses he was able to power up for a score and his rebounding and distribution were; OK. Myles appears to be a fine young man who would have been better served by...
Agree with your assessment 100%. I don’t blame him for testing the waters and possibly getting a big paycheck. But again, for me, he was a great MVC power forward. But against better defensive teams he’s going to struggle. Just my opinion. I don’t see the NBA in his future. But I’m wishing him...
Myles is a good MVC player. He was a double/double machine in the MVC. I am sorry to see him in the portal; as we need him but I believe he might not find the grass greener outside of ISU.
Valid points all. But I would certainly take Indiana States season over ours (for the last ten years). My overall point is that we as a fan base have become used to failure and accept it. Every season we renew our season tickets and expect improvement. But there is no improvement.
I’m tired of excuses. Portal sucks, NIL sucks, blah, blah and blah. Indiana State figured it out. PeeU (Bradley) seems to have figured it out. How about Illinois State hire a hard hitting AD and get this program rolling? I am sick to death of excuses and mediocrity. Figure it out and get it...
Disco and Kasubke have definitely got to go. I would keep Lieb if we can. We need a power forward to replace KL and a reliable shooter. We have some good looking guys coming in, but we need another dependable 3-point shooter; IMO.
Another fan said to me during the last days of the Muller era that ‘sometimes programs fall so low they can’t be brought back’. Given the portal and NIL money, ISU may be one of those programs. But what can you do? Stick with the Birds or get a lobotomy and become a Bradley fan. As a long...
JK is a winner in a loser program. I’m in the group that believes he stays next season. But if next season ends up like this one; he’s gone. You must have a program that quality players want to play for and stay at. Facing facts; that’s not ISU.
Another season; another failure. That pretty much sums it up for this fan. It’s just become emotional exhausting supporting this program. There is one positive from last night’s dismissal (and predictable) failure. Our suffering is over until next season.
Great win. Gutsy. Two questions for me that maybe someone can answer:
1) What is DB’s injury and when can we expect him back. (OK, two questions here).
2. Does anyone have Ben Jacobson’s post game presser. I would like to know what he thinks of this Redbird side.
I’m done. Done! I didn’t even watch the game last night. I have no clue what the problem is with ISU athletics; and specifically men’s basketball. All I know is that they have failed to be competitive and continue to fail miserably. Is it worth the cost of a season ticket. No. No more. It has...
