Gymnastics started out their season with a win this past Sunday against Bowling Green which set them up to sweep the MIC (Midwest Independent Conference) weekly honors. Our gymnastics team seems to be raising the bar every year. They host their first home meet Friday night at Redbird Arena at 6 pm.
Good to see our Women's team play the way we know they can. They came in and dominated SIU winning 76-43. Shannon Dowell got her first start and proved that she deserves it. Abbie has found her shot and had a career high 16 points. I wish I had a picture of Coach G.'s face after Abbie made her...
Women win another game. This time 102-47. Good to see our new players get a lot of minutes with two starters still getting double doubles. Deanna Wilson got hers in the first half with Kate Bullman having to wait until the final quarter to get her 10th point but I think she had her 10 rebounds...
Crompton's work ethic helping usher in new era of ISU women's basketball
Great article from the Vidette. I am going to miss Mary and her parents next year but I know she is going to be on to bigger and better things. An ISU legend on and off the court.
Redbirds look to add on to the 10 game winning streak against SIU tonight. It is also Pride Night. Free Pride Koozies while they last. Birds need to win this one before a big game against Missouri State on Sunday.
ISU's annual Play4Kay game is Sunday, Februrary 5th. If you would like to donate you can donate through my fundraising page https://support.kayyow.com/CindyGate.
Last year ISU was the top team in the country in raising funds for this great cause. It would be great to see ISU above all othe...
Pack the Arena for Gymnastics is this Friday night at 7 pm in Redbird Arena. Free admission for everyone. Pride Koozie and pizza giveaway for students. If you have never been to a Gymnastics meet I highly suggest attending one. These ladies are amazing athletes and fun to watch.
Good to see the women pull away in this game after the first quarter. Paige Robinson lived up to the hype. It is going to be fun to watch her play this season. I think we are going to wish she was here longer. DeAnna continued on her success of last year and should have an exciting senior...
Athletics has put together a fan bus for the game on Friday. Bus leaves at 10 am, is $75 and includes transportation to pre-game rally and the game, ticket and snack. There will be more information about the rally coming out later this week. Tickets can be purchased on their own through the...
I thought this deserved it's own thread.

Birds dominated in set 1 and 2 on Saturday. Loyola battled back, as they had done all weekend, to...
The Redbirds have another championship to celebrate. The volleyball team won both of their games this weekend to clinch the Valley Championship. They will be the 1 seed and play at 11 am this Thursday at Redbird Arena.
Congratulations to all the ladies that made All conference teams today.

Deanna Wilson and Terrion Moore all-newcomer team
Also, the MVC Scholar Athlete Honors teams were announced...

The women went 2-0 this weekend to start out conference play. Friday night they beat Indiana State with a great team effort. Today they dominated Evansville. Their first real conference test will be this Friday night at Bradley. If you haven't been to a game yet I highly suggest getting out to...
