Roman is very talented. Win a recruiting battle for once for someone other schools want and sign him. It can be done. Drake and Indiana St. used to suck too not too long ago. Spread it!
As far as Walker not playing much, looks like Coach went primarily 4 guards to matchup with the Bruins and what they do. Lewis played less minutes as well. Not very good minutes.
Play Kinzinger. Period.
Agree with most everything on here. It is also frustrating with all the confidence and excitement about our roster depth early on, no one can come up with a decent five to play now. Sad state of affairs, plenty of blame or whatever to go around.
Is it time to be bold for once and turn the keys...
Both look like very good signings for our Birds, building a good foundation for the future. I remember Cade's brother at Loyola being one of those guys that just beat you. Hopefully Cade (and Jack) can bring that to the table as we look to instill that winning culture.
I love it. College basketball on a path to alienate half their fan base (I.E. - non-power 5 schools). "Protecting" the P5's from ever having to face a middling university not worthy of them on a neutral or away site. What a flipping joke. Am about done with the whole thing, so ridiculous. I...
There seems to be quite a bit of love for Dalton Banks here. Why are some convinced he starts over Poindexter? He didn’t do much as a Saluki, not saying he can’t develop at ISU. But feel we owe Mal a little love, he was playing pretty well the last half the season or so. Poindexter averaged 9.4...
There have been plenty of chances since then, with good rosters and some good coaches. A couple years all they had to do was not get destroyed in the Arch Madness title game and we make the dance. That’s what stinks. Lots of shoulda, coulda, woulda…But close doesn’t count except in horseshoes...
I know it’s “early” but when you don’t rebound, foul too much, shoot poorly and turnover too much it’s hard to compete and get W’s. Need to see improvement in at least one of these soon eh
Good article, Collins is the best. I was excited when I read the thread subject though, thinking there was an actual new sports editor. Can’t take articles on U of I every day. ISU still competes in sports too right?
With Andrews back it appears, roster is actually now “forward” heavy. Maybe a veteran PG with last spot? Probably best available though which is smart.
