Short term success is very achievable, it's the long term success that is become more and more difficult. I've seen a lot of angst about four Mountain West teams making the tourney, the powers that be do not want upstarts to succeed. They love their name brand schools for a lot of reasons.
Roster stability is a novel approach in this day and age...the question is whether it's is outdated and archaic or the desired state that's difficult to attain. My sense is there maybe a couple guards bail, at most.
I still love the tourney, but think it's popularity will shrink as the NCAA continues to screw itself up. As always, I'll be rooting for all mid-majors. They've become a regular thing in the final 4...winning one isn't too far away.
