It drives me nuts down here how many people pronounce it Illi-noise! Of course they call pop a soda, hoard milk & bread at a forecast of just a dusting of snow and most have never heard of Italian Beef! Barbarians! 😏
PS: I forgot to mention, when my kids were in grade school the school...
I think the word is "should" have. He is the Head Coach after all. He is solely responsible. It is easy to lead when things are rosy, we find out how good a leader is when the times are tough. That is when your leaders need to step up. Add in the two failed Co-Offensive Coordinator...
I am optimistic about 2024. There will be a new QB1. Rittenhouse, I thought, played well in the last two games. Murray Stat not that much of a test but I thought he played well against a decent ND team. I don't know anything about the new QB transfer but competition is a good thing and for...
I think Timmy said answered just that question. If you want to manage your recruiting, portal, etc. look at how the best do it. NDSU & SDSU win and of course that makes it easier to recruit. But but they have a system and much more important they have a culture that permeates their program...
60,000 to 20,000 fans is one big difference. The Rose Bowl is huge and when I lived outside of Detroit I probably was at 12-13 games at The Big House. Over 100,000 fans, quite a good time. Still I go to local High School games and enjoy that as well. Sounds like a great experience in San Diego.
If you've not been to a bowl game, they are fun times. Even the lower tier bowls. I have been to a few. The Rose Bowl (back in the late 70's when I lived in LA and it was really "The Grandaddy of them all" as Keith Jackson used to say! All the way to the Motor City Bowl at the old Silverdome...
MadBird, you made me laugh out loud. To quote one of my favorite authors Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, "there is nothing more deceptive than an obvious fact."
Yep, FCS schools will continue to lose some very talented players to FBS but not just for NIL money. The chance to play at bigger schools and gain more exposure is a good thing for those players that were late developers or just overlooked coming out of High School. John Ridgeway jumps to mind...
Honestly Red, if you truly believe the coaches are not a big, factor you are just blind. You need good players of course but who recruits them? You have to put players in position to make plays. The preparation that goes into game planning and bringing out the best in your players is...
Fourth, if the selection committee worked the way you think it does teams would not be left out that deserve a bid. It happens regularly and we all know it. I don't know why you are so adamant about Incarnate Word. They did very well in the playoffs last year winning two games and losing a...
That type of comfort in a football coach is not always productive. I don't think Coach Spack has lost his passion for the game. He may well have lost the drive of a rookie Head Coach trying to make his mark. Expectations also play into it. If the school/fans are fine with winning seasons...
