Wyman Tisdale didn't miss a freaking shot! Heard he came on the ISU bus after the game and apologized for being in the zone. Great personality. Became jazz guitarist. Died too young.

Had not rewatched the 97 Iowa State game ever. Only saw it live. After revisiting I didn’t remember it being as close as it was throughout until the last few minutes.

Forgot how smooth Skip was and how quick of a release he had. Typical game though for ISU. Other team struggles early, but we don’t take advantage. Let them back in and oh yeah, let a guy have a career game too.

Thanks for uploading these!

I am pretty sure we helped Cato's draft stock. The Iowa St game was there for the taking but we struggled offensively.

It's amazing how well we did the next year against Tennessee with Jamar and Skip injured. Hansell and Cartmill played great and were clutch.

We have loaded a ton of games over the last few months.

I also have not watched the Iowa State game since 1997. I look forward to seeing it. I remember the Redbirds getting off to a pretty decent start, but Cato taking over the game at both ends of the floor.

I have to do some digging, but I know I have a bunch of games (both VHS and DVD) throughout the 90s and in the '05-'09 years. A lot have been uploaded, but off the top of my head I know there's a game vs. DePaul at home in '92 I have somewhere, Creighton in '99, a Bracket Busters game vs. Wright State in '08, and some other home games and MVC tourney games. I also have an official 2004-2005 highlight DVD they sold at the Alamo. I watched it not long ago, pretty cool stuff. Wish they made those every year, and gave them out to Red Alert members when they sign up.

PM if you find the tapes. We need to keep Pemberton busy. The highlight tape sounds great

Will do.

I remember that DePaul '92 game because there was a really bad snowstorm that night and me, DannyCooksey and our older brother spun out & nearly plowed into an end terminal on 55 coming down for the game. As I recall, many members of the Bears were in attendance that night for whatever reason.

The highlight DVD was a cool idea, and there were some fun moments throughout the '04-'05 season on there. We were 16-6 at one point with wins over Ole Miss, Penn State and St. John's (that was a great night at home). Not sure why they stopped producing those DVDs. Should be an annual thing.

Man you just triggered a memory. First, glad you made out OK (cause we needed you peeps at the game!). I remember that game because I was holding/corralling/attempting to keep the proper amount of slack in the cable for the WGN baseline cameraman...or for whatever network did that game. And let me tell you, I just could not figure out how to do it effectively. Pretty sure the cameraman was ready to shoot me by the 2nd half. Actually, I was trying to wrap the cable around Kleinschmidt's neck. Anywho...survey says?? SUCKOLA!!

I despised DePaul for so many reasons. My dad was a Marquette Alum and I grew up not liking them and then I attend ISU and they were a constant thorn in ISU's side. We had all those great Donewald teams and we always lost to them. Then throw in a couple of 1 point losses, including that '92 game and the Terrence Green BS 3 point shot in '88 and DePaul just brings back bad memories. Oh yeah, lets not forget that '87 game where we played horrible and Starks gets kicked off the team during the game .... unbelievable. I still root against them and they have been bad for years.

I just looked this up and it's as bad as I recall

5 - 21 lifetime against DePaul and we won the first game in the series and the last 3 games too. That's 1-21 for the games in-between. The lone win being in 82/83 season. Of course they got revenge the next year beating us twice including a win in the NCAA tournament. We played them virtually every year form 77/78 to 97/97 before they stopped playing us.

I'd click the like tab but I don't want to like taking it the way we did from those bleepers.

One game that I used to have but can't find anymore was the 2009 Arch Madness Semis where the Redbirds defeated Creighton 73-49 hitting 13 of 19 three's; Champ Oguchi was 6 of 8. Do you have that game? It was like the Redbirds couldn't miss and Creighton became more and more deflated as the game wore on especially coach Dana Altman.

That was a great game. If only we had saved one of those 3 pointers for the next game

I might have that one, not sure. That was a great day. For the most part, Jank had Altman's number during his tenure and that day was a big exclamation point. I remember there were a lot of WSU fans in the upper bowl cheering loudly for us all game as they hated CU and lost a close one to them in the quarters the day before.

That game was amazing, we were firing on all cylinders but it really made the next day even more deflating.
