Last time UE made the final, they were #2 seed and the semifinal session drew over 14K (and UE played InSU in that round); last time InSU made a final, semifinal just under 14K.

Last time we were in a final, the semifinal was under 9K; the year prior, with Wichita State (and we were #1 seed), semis were about 12K.

Considering there is now a curtain in front of the upper level, do not think we should be throwing stones.
They had some seating in the upper deck today. The first time I can remember since 2017 ... I think

Cutaway during MEM-HOU timeout shows players still warming up in STL. Looks like they’re patiently waiting for CBS to give them the queue to tip off.

Had BU been on the bubble, this game would’ve annihilated their bubble.

Drake finally flexing and playing like the team we all expected. They’ve been good but rarely reached this level.

Some say the reason BU got some calls go their way against UNI and Indy State was to hold out the distant hope for 2 bids.

Feels good that BU now knows the emotional toll of being in STL, coming in high off a tough Saturday win, and just lay a complete egg on Sunday. See Arch Championships in ‘08, ‘17, and ‘18.

Thoughts on what seed Drake gets? What seed does the NIT give p u? Any Valley teams heading down to Daytona for the CBI?

Drake-12 seed.
P U-3 seed.
No idea here on who might go to Daytona. Winning the CBI means winning five games in five days. WOW!

I didn't go, nor did I much watch outside of the ISU game. How was attendance this year compared to other years (especially 2019 and 2018)? Curious if there was a bump with two extra teams, one of which was touted to bring HUGE crowds to the conference tournament.

The quarterfinals and semifinals were well attended. They actually opened a few upper bowl sections in the semis that were partially full. Nobody sat there in the finals. In the finals, the one base line side and one section on the players bench side had plenty of open seats. It was where many of the SIU and tree fans sat the previous day. Not sure if they didn't resell their tickets or if nobody wanted them. The opposite baseline was filled with Bradley fans who brought a huge contingency in both the semi and final games.

One of the best attendance for Fridays games Iv seen in a long time. Drake and Indiana State brought a lot of people. Besides UIC and Belmont a lot of fans for each team came out, and belmont had a good amount of students in the student section actually.

The bigger slaughter than the Bradley game was number of 12.5% ABV Cutwaters slammed at the Schnucks’ stand. Tired of it!
