Oh, is this when I am supposed to go "ouch"!

Last season, Drake had 24 wins (and a NET of 85) before the postseason; the Bulldogs played in the CBI. 19 W's from a team in a mid-major conference whose toughest non-conference opponent (Ball State, loss) has a NET of 136 simply will not get a NIT at-large bid.

(and feel free to keep all your shi$, you may be in short supply).
Depends??

We also don’t have an Oscar Tshiebwe down low. Reeves was fantastic when he had space to operate. Once Chatman went down all the focus went to shutting him down and we stopped scoring efficiently - and the wins disappeared, too.

Reeves is where he is meant to be: at Kentucky, doing what he does best because the elite athletes around him allow him to do so.

He would help this Birds team, of course, but his talents would be under-utilized here as far as translating to wins, and he’d be flying well under the NBA radar.
I was practically laughed off this board for saying Reeves would have better NBA visibility at UK than at ISU.

He would ave 21 plus a game here.. That’s a game changer
woulda beat UNI once. UIC twice, Bradley once, N W state twice and WIU.
Win 3 more the rest of the season and one at MVC Your now in NIT territory
my opinion
Who knows.
They’d probably shut Reeves down by putting 4 defenders on him and dare anyone else to do anything.

When did I say that ISU wouldn’t be better without Reeves? I said I didn’t think they would win 7 more games with him. We couldn’t win with him, but now that he is gone we would have 7 more wins?

How can a guy that is 5th on his team in minutes played be a game changer? Seems to me that he has had big games followed by not so big games.

Reeves could definitely help ISU, especially in those situations where our offense is constipated. I just don’t think a team with him averaging 20 a night is ever going to win a conference title. His role on Kentucky doesn’t need him to be that guy.
Reeves had 37 today against one of the best defenses in the country if you’re still curious how he can be a game changer.

Reeves was the best player in a game Kentucky needed to win. Maybe the best performance by a guard in the sec to date this year considering the circumstances.

Hope he continues to prove me wrong because I did enjoy watching him play at ISU. Just don’t think he was playing at the level he did on Saturday when I posted back on Feb 11 and not sure this years ISU’s team wins 7 more games with him on the roster. But everyone entitled to their own opinion, which is why there is a message board.

He’s not on this team. He was never on a good ISU team. I’m happy he’s finding success, but I’ll never understand this boards infatuation with sticking it to other posters.

If we can’t stick it to other posters, then why have a fan board?! </sarcasm>
