Nice running back pick up. I hope this isn't an indication of concern regarding Cole Mueller.

Running back room as it currently stands includes:
Cole Mueller
Wenkers Wright
Mason Blakemore
Nigel White
Pha'Leak Brown
Rashad Lampkin
Sean Allen
Lavarion Logan
Joshua Robinson

Going to be A LOT of competition for carries. I wouldn't be surprised to see a departure. 9 scholarships is a lot dedicated to running backs. Going to need some WRs to go along with all these RBs...

The backups had plenty of opportunity this year. This looks to be a good pickup and I would guess this will be the warning sign for some to start looking for another place to carry the ball.

Well, I agree with the parts about lots of competition, and potential departures. But this guy gained net 88 yards on 23 carries in 6 games for 3-9 NIU. I'm not sure on paper he's got more than that pack of sophs and freshmen we had this fall. We'll see.

Maybe he will change positions. Think he is 6'2" 210. Not your typical RB prototype.

Or he didn’t get a chance. Saw several tweets and comments from fans about how they wish he was getting more of a look during the season.

Time will tell.

Saw he only got in 6 games, maybe hurt? I'd be glad to be "wrong". He's from Centralia, at least he didn't end up in Carbondale and come back to haunt us!! ;)

Brown was named the NEC DPOY. Has 2 years of eligibility. Probably a long shot, but would be a huge get.

Those are all partial scholies but 9 is too many RBs.

Oh, really? I know we obviously have less scholarships than FBS and I know sports such as baseball do partials, but I thought all of the scholarships that we give out are full rides. Was just an assumption of mine though.

My understanding is that we can have the equivalent of 63 full scholarships spread out over a max of 85 players.

Now COVID has messed this up a bit as the NCAA is allowing teams to recruit new players while others get an extra year. Not sure when that'll get back to normal.

FCS can give partials. FBS cannot. Basketball and volleyball are full rides in D1 ... no partials

Not that these guys are pros, but there are only 2 rbs in the NFL top 30 that are 6'2" or taller.

Damien Jackson and TreShawn Watson have committed to Central Missouri.
Franky West has committed to Eastern Kentucky.

Why would you go to a program that is not as good in both cases, compared to staying where you're in the top League in the fcs?

They must know something that we don't about the direction and the players that are coming up.
