This team is not very good. The tri's are going to start flying everytime down the court.. Have no other choice. More guards we need 12 of them on the bench.

It boils down to the same story- lack of inside depth. I was tuning in off and on. Was Lewis injured? He had less rebounds late in the 2nd half than Burford.

Was listening on the radio. Lewis fouled out when a double tech was called with over 7 minutes to play. Oddly another double tech was called before any more time had come off the clock. Radio guys said both teams were on opposite ends of court when called and no explanation given. I believe Sandage got that one for the Birds

I'm glad we loaded up on games early. We need these games to get a lineup and learn how to play under Ryan. I have confidence in Ryan and his ability to completely turn this program around. What I don't have confidence in is the current landscape of NIL and transfer rules...which may not allow a program like ISU to get itself back into a big winner again...due to the potential roster turnover each and every year.

I think coaches at our level are going to have figure out how to win with a group immediately...because every 2 years we could be looking at 12 new kids on the roster., maybe more heaven forbid.

Can Ryan succeed in this climate? How do you even succeed in this climate?

We're probably a .500 team, tops. Which really isn't a surprise here, is it?

Don't be surprised if we don't start playing good basketball until late January. What I want to see Ryan do is NOT get discouraged and stay true to his basketball morals...in order to shape the culture he wants.

We won't win many games with Kendall only scoring 2 points. Need to win tomorrow to salvage something out of this trip.
I don't see posting Kendall against 7'5: or players like Willams from LSU. I think there are games that will work but not against strong interior teams/players that have both a height muscle advantage

Until we can consistently have scoring threat in the paint...ie offensive board scores or a post presence, we are a one dimensional offense. Live with the 3 die with the 3. No where to hide in the Valley schedule.

So, are we going to blame NIL and transfer rules for not being successful? "How do you even succeed in this climate?" Someone has to win the MVC in the same landscape. I bet DeVries, Prohm, Wardle, etc. figure it out. Pedon should be expected to also.
