Not sure if it is EIU better defense, but we are not driving to rim near as much.

Kasubke and Poindexter have looked solid. Then need Lewis and Petrakis out there. The 5th guy is up in the air for me right now. McChesney doesn't look himself.

Coach said on the WIU postgame that he wasn’t thrilled with several of the shots that some of the players took when driving the lane and forcing a bad shot. I actually was encouraged by all the driving attempts but maybe they should have kicked out more or passed to a driving teammate. This team is facing adversity now from new competition and they have to figure out what works. I think the softer schedule this year is actually beneficial for all the reasons everyone else has mentioned. I know we will miss Lewis next year as he does a lot of things for the offense and defense.

One of my favorite "insignificant" games was sitting in top row of Section D with Rita Jeppson and Coach Samuel's daughter who was an ISU ed student at the time. Very entertaining being in the middle seat on a night off as a spectator.

Man I hope there is more to come on our offense. Too much dribbling, no screening away from ball, no backcuts. Looks way too familiar. Hope there is new stuff to come. Live and die by 3 gets old.

Second half soft defense in the paint. Lots of dunks in our face. Right guys late at ft line. Andrews and Ryan will have to defend in the paint when Valley starts or we are going to get killed.

Man that was a tough watch offensively in the second half. 12 TO s in second half and plenty of chances for more

Kasubke has been the most impressive oklayer to me so far along with Lewis rebounding

We need to get better or WIU and EIU May be scared to play us because they have too much to lose if we beat them.
