First Game vs WIU

Just asking...how much of that team is still wearing the WIU colors?

Only 2 of their starters last night were on the team last year. I was just surprised that they started 10-2 with a fairly competitive non-conference schedule last year.

I like the new PA guy, but the sound guy needs to work on directing his call to the upper bowl. Sat in the lower for the exhibition game and could hear him just fine, but in the upper bowl its just muddy. Could understand about a third of what he said. Might be due to his baritone voice.

Lots to work on. Western set the tone physically for most of the game. When we did, we ran up the score, but for the most part we were outworked. We do a good job screening in the paint to open lanes. As Cpacmel said, how do you leave a guy with 22 wide open from 3 late?

Please… if anyone from ISU Athletic Administration reads this board, please fix the sound for games. Everything is muffled and it is very hard to understand what is being said… even in the lower bowl. If I was a business and was paying for my advertising, I would not be happy. Very little of what the PA guy says can be understood. It’s not good

Yes. When Redbird 222 was in the bathroom servicing Hulka's stall, they caught Quinn on fire and it took 2 fire extinguishers, a Bud Light, and a stop-drop'n'roll from a cheerleader to put him out.

FWIW, Reeves led Ky in scoring tonite with 22 points on 6-12 3-point shooting. DJ Horne had 8 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists. That should be ISU’s starting backcourt.

So many hating on Reeves and saying he was gonna be a bust at UK.
As a Redbird fan, it’s so easy to be jealous.

Don't know what happened with the mops but did find it interesting that it seems to be team managers tasked with wiping up the floor with towels when someone falls as opposed to an event staff with a mop.

Kendall slipping those couple times reminded me of a few years ago- ISU was down at home, similar time in the game, maybe against UNC-G or something? Copeland cut under the basket for a wide open lay up and fell (got called for a travel), Birds lost that one too. It was under the same hoop.

I remember that game .... Central Florida. I think we were 2-0 trying to go to 3-0. We had beaten Belmont and Arkansas Little Rock
