The only bad thing is JR misses the trip to London! I think this is a good move for him. The Jags have a number one draft choice at his position, they are going to play that number one. The Jets have been playing pretty well and lost their number-one RB. A good opportunity for JR. Best of luck.

The fact that he was traded for a 6th round pick tells me that the GM wasn't playing hardball and needs to get his 2021 first round pick touches before everyone labels him a bust and points at the front office.

That said, the Jets are now 5-2 and JRob has a chance to play in the biggest market in the country from a team that is getting national attention. With Hall coming back, presumably, next year. I expect they will let Robinson go after the season. If he ends up with 1000+ yards, he may be in line for a big contract somewhere starting next year.

Happy for JR and this opportunity as he now gets to go the Jets who are fighting for a playoff spot and can get some carries where he was clearly losing carries to a 1st round pick in Jacksonville. He now can go get carries and then in the off-season being a restricted free-agent he can go and get his money. Win-win for him.

Yes, Hall should be back next year, but that won't stop the Jets from keeping him around if he shows out. They had to make this move because the only other guys on the roster are Ty Johnson and then Bam Knight on the practice squad. Those 2 guys don't get it done.

Michael Carter is a real nice piece but he can't handle a full workload so this move just made a ton of sense. Been a Jet fan since the 90s and can't be any more excited about James joining the mix. I think he can make some noise and help the Jets keep pushing towards their first playoff birth in a long time.

The more crushing Jet news for me yesterday was AVT going out for the year with a torn triceps. Rumor circulating that JD may be looking to bring in either Laremy Tunsil or Jack Conklin to help fill the void. Going to need to get a replacement ASAP to help James out with some running lanes.

So if James signs an offer sheet with another team in the off-season you think the Jets will match it? If so good for him, I think this is a really good fit for the Jets and James.

@DaveBird10 I think it will depend on the offer and how Breece Hall's ACL surgery/Recovery goes. JD seems to be the type of GM that will go to bat for a player if he proves himself to be an asset. I personally think matching an offer depending on what cap space looks like makes a lot of sense because a RB room of Hall, Robinson, and Carter would be a particularly strong room.

JRob gets 5 carries for 17 yards. Team only had 51 yds rushing.

Zach had a really poor day yesterday despite 300+ yards passing. Numbers were very misleading in this instance. James didn't get some of the carries I thought he would. Chalking it up to first week on the squad and still learning the playbook. One thing I did notice is how well JRob picks up the blitz. He could definitely teach Michael Carter a thing or two.
