I thought he always looked a little out of control, a little "self-centered" shall we say. Maybe his game is evolving.

2nd most treys, but shooting only 29%. Team leader in TO's. Lead the team in Rebounds, to his credit.
Admittedly, I did no research on the kid and have never seen him play. Just saw the numbers in the tweet and the DePaul connection with Judson.

Offutt is following. Would be a fantastic add! 6’8 240lbs. He’s about as close as we could get to a Chatman replacement.

I’d expect some more 2022 news soon. This past weekend was the last weekend of the spring live eval period. That’s why we are seeing so many 2023 offers. Now they can shift back to 2022 for a bit.

Pedon certainly wasn't kidding when he said he wanted to recruit the state. He's given out at least 8 offers to kids from Illinois for '23. I look forward to hanging with Pedon and Staff at the State Farm Holiday Classic, where a lot of these guys will be playing in Dec.

Lets get some '22 new going! The portal entries should be slowing down as the May 1 date comes near. That's supposed to be the last date kids can enter and be immediately eligible next season, however we know how the NCAA loves to give waivers.

The portal has tons of players still available at every position and from every level. They should be able to find someone to fill any needs we still have. Key word being ‘should’.

I thought Patterson was much improved. I am not sure that's an immediate need based on who we have signed and if Freeman is still here
I was wondering this as well. With 4 open scholarships and already having Freeman, Burford, Sandage and Poindexter on next years roster all who can play that point guard or combo guard another guard like that doesn't make much sense. I liked Patterson game the way he can get the lane and what not but a 6'4-6'6 guard/forward would be nice.

For what its worth, only four might play significant minutes, but it would be beneficial to have more than four guards on the roster. Injuries happen and other stuff happen, gotta have a next man ready to stand up. As it stands right now, if any of the four you mentioned go down, Nik Stadelman, Julian Samuels, or Malcolm Miller would be pushed into action. Nothing against those kids at all, just saying having depth would be a good thing.

Tyree Boykin: 6-1 PG, D2 All-American is now on Offut’s radar.
