They don't hold that against them for staying put. This has happened even during the transfer years. You don't think P5 were after Ja but they are after tone? Like sticking with your initial choice, staying with your guys you've made progress with, helping a program turn the corner, liking the school and the environment and your education, being a senior leader, blah blah blah? Isn't it just as wrong to transfer just to "show your stuff", "use" the new program for your own personal gain, etc.
