Yes, I think the transfer thing is totally out of hand. Nuts.

I would say no way Krutwig could "star" in the Big 10+, but that's what I said about Reggie Lynch and Liam Robbins, so what the hell do I know?? I thought in the tournament, he was very poorly defended, teams underestimated him, and he's got great footwork, so he was able to maneuver pretty successfully. At least the first game.

I doubt Kofi stays this time.
I agree about the underestimation of Krutwig. He looks like an out of shape big you see at the Y but he is sneaky good and knows how to use that body. I think the Illini underestimated the defense of Loyola and was not well prepared. There is no way Loyola should have won that game. The lesser talented team was better prepared and beat a greater talented team that was less prepared. If Loyola played in the Big 10 it would be a good year for them if they went .500.

If Loyola played in the Big Ten...they would have 3 stars and maybe a 4* player.

When Reggie started playing for Minnesota he looked like a totally different player. I wonder how much it had to do with better coaching. He just seemed like an animal there. Here he had his games, but seemed kinda aloof.

Sophomore year @ Illinois State:
9.5 Pts/gm 5.4 Reb/gm 2.8 Blks/gm
Junior year @ Minnesota:
8.4 Pts/gm 6.1 Reb/gm 3.5 Blks/gm

Not seeing anything that shows better coaching in those stats. Usually you improve between your sophomore & junior season. As far as your “He just seemed like an animal there” statement, I’m sure there may be a few female students there that may be in agreement with you.

Good luck Dedric. I think that is a good fit for him, and he will do good there. I think he will be more mature now, and that will help him take his game to a higher level. I can see him averaging 15 Pts/Game
It's going to be a good spot for him for sure. He's gonna have the green light. 15ppg.

Side note on several transfers recently. A lot of them are excited about "coming home." Just to name a few in the last hour or so.
  • DB to TSU originally from Brownsville, Tenn
  • Symir Torrence from Marquette is transferring to Cuse, originally from NY.
  • Greg Gantt, Jr from Providence is transferring to NC State, originally from Fayetteville, NC.

Wow that's a shame I really thought that kid was talented and would get some good minutes next year backing up Norris
Might suggest a senior is coming back that will adjust who plays what position? No inside info, but interesting thought nonetheless.

Got to thinking a little bit more about DB going to Tenn State... I had forgot that former Redbird assistant Penny Collins is the HC over there. Surely Muller made a call on DB's behalf, which might suggest no hard feelings there and his departure was a mutual decision.
