Redbird fans don't have a lot to cheer about, so we should take what we can get. I loved seeing Wichita get beat by Drake. My heart is singing for joy. Don't be surprised if, 10 years from now, Wichita has returned to mediocrity. And if Cincinnati and Houston should ever bolt the AAC for the green pastures of the Big 12, the AAC aint going to look like much of an upgrade over the MVC. For the record, I wished Crieghton well, so I'm not a total bitter heart. But, I haven't had any soft spot for the Shockers since Eddie Folger left. Greg Marshall was a good coach and his teams were outstanding, but he was really a total jerk.

$282,000(x6 years) = $1.692M/10= $169,200 per team 2019 per NCAA compensation unit, so I’d say that’s already $338,400 in unplanned revenue over next 6 years for Redbirds from 2nd team in and 1 win. Let’s go Loyola( at least for one game😉) and Drake.

The gals at shockernet want to fire the coach they just hired to a five year deal. They don't acknowledge that they hey lost to a Valley team, or that they went 3/17 from 3, or 11/22 from the line. lol
Yeah, the 3 can either make you or break you.

Big congrats to Drake!! A team punched in the gut with injuries and criticism all year pulls off a comeback from 20 min of embarrassing basketball to a former rival on national tv. Now let's go get UCLA!

Tell you this. LU is definitely good. Deserved a better seed. Didn’t fold when Tech made their runs. Won’t beat Illinois but definitely a great team.

Enjoyed watching a couple prominant big ten teams go down - a 2 and 3 seed. Illinois, on the other hand, is peaking at the right time. I expect to see them in the final 4, and maybe further.

Illinois really has their hand full with Loyola. Even if they get by them the prospects of playing ok st, Houston or wv.... man what a tough draw for the Illini.
