I wish this thread had a mute button.
That would make my post moot.If only our program had a “mute button”...
I‘m going to start to not click on it.I wish this thread had a mute button.
You got it, Coach!I‘m going to start to not click on it.
Period
Move on!!
If there is pertinent news to be had I have a great source that will fill me in. Right Timmy?
Interesting read. Most of the current posse tracking HCDM are absent in that thread (unless they were posting under a nom de plume), except for crazzy who was all in.Fun blast from the past.
Hopefully...Coach Muller through 2024....
Contract extension... http://goredbirds.com/news/2017/8/29/mens-basketball-muller-signs-contract-extension-through-2024.aspx?path=mbballwww.redbirdfan.net
Thank God my fingerprints are nowhere to be seen on this knob-slobber fest.Interesting read. Most of the current posse tracking HCDM are absent in that thread (unless they were posting under a nom de plume), except for crazzy who was all in.
Consensus was positive or it does not give enough for ISU (too little buyout), other than home/home against institution that hires him (and given the Ball State football contract debacle (coming to Hancock for the "grand re-opening" as part of home/home), we know how much they hold up).

I always thought it was a long time for anyone to be locked in. He better be Pat Riley to be able to opt out without a consequence, but I have to pay his entire 3 year if I opt out.Interesting read. Since ADKB seems to ignore voicemails and emails, maybe answering poorly or well worded questions isn’t his thing.I wish we knew what question was asked to get this response. It seems like the question was something along the lines of "How do you address the online rumors of Muller leaving after this season?"
Which is NOT the question we want to know the answer to. Their should be a full article on it with an interview with ADKB. Questions that need to be asked of KB- unfair or not due to a weird COVID year-need to be asked.
Even if ADKB gives get canned answers (coach's speak), at least the questions are asked.
- How do you evaluate the current status of the MBB program?
- How does what has happened the past three seasons inform decisions moving forward?
- How would do you respond to fans who would like to see Muller fired?
- How can the program turn around and have success?
- What does success look like to you?
There has been enough chatter here and through other social media that one quote from what is assumed to be a poorly asked question is not sufficient. I'm guessing we don't see another MBB article until mid-April (or when transfers start announcing). We need more media members to step up. Muller was asked one question about his job security this season and it was a week or so ago from a Vidette reporter. I'm sure the reporter is thrilled to have some time off from hoops and is looking forward to a spring/summer covering local golf.
This is why I think he was asked a poor question... The response doesn't make any sense.Brennan has it all wrong. There are no rumors so I question why he phrased it that way. There are no rumors just dissatisfaction with the state of the bball program and that dissatisfaction is growing. There is a big difference between rumors and dissatisfaction.
Agree 100 percent. There is nothing wrong with asking tough questions. Benson does everyone a disservice with his awful reporting and makes the situation worse.I wish we knew what question was asked to get this response. I agree with your conclusion - quite a contrast - but there could be several explanations. New AD might have been "told" to clean up the mess when he was hired. Not clear what Leitao's buyout is (or if there is one). Maybe he already has the donor dough in hand to make the buyout. New AD's been on the job several months longer than ours. Etc.It’s decision time for DePaul’s first-year AD: Does coach Dave Leitao have to go?
“I didn’t come here to be last,” DeWayne Peevy said. “We’re last again.”chicago.suntimes.com
Found this article interesting because I feel like DePaul is in a similar spot with a new AD and a program that's a mess. Quite a contrast in answers from DePaul's first year AD to the one from Brennan.
He has no buyout, though I'm not sure that would matter. Peevy knows what his main job is and that's cleaning up the men's basketball program. That should also be Brennan's focus.I agree with your conclusion - quite a contrast - but there could be several explanations. New AD might have been "told" to clean up the mess when he was hired.
