JVille scores on a pass after JRob picked up 10 or so for a first down. Announcers giving him lots of props, say he's over 50 yards rushing.

9 carries 57 yards .. interesting article

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Relative unknown James Robinson has a chance to make NFL history Sunday.

If Robinson starts for Jacksonville against Indianapolis, as expected, he would become the fourth undrafted rookie running back to do so in a season opener since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970 and the first in the last 30 years.

If he runs for 45 yards, he would break the record for the most by an undrafted rookie in Week 1.

By the way -- is it too early in the year to get down on the Bears?? :(
yeesh, 6 points against Lion defense. Trubisky doesn't look as bad as his stats or points .. he's threading and showing good touch on his throws, with only a few off the mark. Run game has been good enough ... but overall, the offense not looking good at all. Defense has been ok, but nothing special.

it is too early, but yeesh .. let's get a spark on both sides of ball !!!

Second time today, just now, the announcer for the Jags mentioned Robinson's "underdog" story "his whole career". I don't know, he may have been somewhat "underdog" as a freshman coming to us after a small HS, but for God's sake, the guy was an All-American. Underdog for sure going into the pros, but not in HS and not at ISU. Or am I thinking wrong?

he had no FBS offers and not many good FCS offers.

His problem was playing 4A in HS and he also admitted in recent interview that he didn't do any camps or combines to gain more attention from colleges. The other thing I recall was his conditioning coming out of HS ... he got here a little overweight. So I agree he has been an underdog, but there were reasons ... and to ISU's benefit !!!! And now to Jaguars !!

Would love to see the 28 catch and run ... looks like Jags win QB Minshew (19 for 20) and JR (90 total yards incl catch) getting lot of pub and love

It was a beauty - little out pass in the backfield and he looked bottled up, did one of those "jumps" to get around/over a couple guys, and got another 10-15 yards. Very nice little play.

Beauty is right. Beautiful 28-yard catch and run. One Colt defender was coming in low so James went high "jumps". He get hit while in the air by another defender but somehow he managed to keep his balance when he came down and he kept running. Incredible. If if shows up on youtube somewhere it's worth a look.

I remember talking with JR's grandfather at halftime of the first UCA playoff game. The family resemblance was obvious. I hope he was at this game.
