A personal note:

I'm at our cabin, in central Minnesota. Been here mostly since late May. We've got about 200 places around our lake. 4th of July, most events cancelled (boat parade, flag raising, etc.) but lots of people here. One boat goes around, and it looks to me like he's got a yellow "Don't Tread on Me" flag on the back of his pontoon, along with American flag and Trump 2020 flag. Fair number of Trumpers up here. Whatever. I go around the lake today on our pontoon, and I go by this dock several down from ours, and I see the yellow flag again, out at the end of the dock. And what is it?? Not "Don't Tread on Me", but instead "NDSU". And I can see a Bison cornhole game standing up on the side of the cabin!! For crissakes!! I sure hope I don't have to talk to this guy at the lake association meeting!! :) :) :)

Reminds me of a trip we made to Steamboat Springs. The place we stayed was a shrine to the Salukis. Kinda creepy, really. I mean, that is one ugly dog. Anyway, we were good guests and defaced nothing.

The wife and I went on a cruise in February with a our friends who happened to play at SIU. We are walking onto the ship and the group ahead of us all has on nasty green and yellow shirts. We both looked at each other like it can't be! Yup, a huge group of NDSU fans and alumni are on the same cruise. They are actually really nice and we had a great time.

Couldn't agree with this more. When we played in Frisco, there were several parents of players that met everyday in the lobby. They take midwestern nice to new levels.
