I would say the Valley is on their way up in a big way. We’re seeing it with Bradley and Loyola, and then we’ve got SIU, us, and MSU on their way. UNI is always good and will be really good with AJ Green returning.

I'm not sure there is any proof isu or msu is on their way up. They haven't produced on court like SIU, Loyola, and Bradley. Biased hype doesn't mean they're on their way up. Remember how Phil, Malik, and Keyshawn we're supposed to lead the Birds to the promise land and then won 17 games? Prove it on the court and I'll believe it. Talk is nothing.

If that is the criteria then throw SIU in the same boat. They were 16 -16 last year and lost 6 of their last 7 games. They were 17-15 the prior year. That being said all three teams have had some talented recruits the past two years with some honors. We will see if it translates to meaningful improvement but I would agree with ILSt25 that it should point up for those three teams.

I am concerned that Drake losing Robbins to transfer and Murphy to graduation may take a step back. I do like their coach though. Valpo may have been poised to take the next step but losing Freeman will hurt. I thought Freeman and Clay would have been a good 1- 2 punch. I think Bradley losing Brown to graduation will hurt them. In my eyes he was a leader and stepped in big games. Yes they have some talent still but they just lost their floor general.

Way too early and a lot of unknowns but I would imagine Loyola and UNI would have to be favorites.

I think losing kennel is a bigger loss than Brown. I agree with everything else you said though.

Kennel really stepped the last two years but Tahvanainen from Finland looks poised to be his replacement. Boya looks more athletic than Bar but can't foul as much. The transfer from GW will be interesting to watch

I think we’ll see their transfer pg Sean East turn heads too.
