This has been touched on in previous threads, but wanted to start a new one specifically to this topic. As expected, in the current state of a limited roster, results have been up and down, to say the least.

If reports are accurate, we should be getting EC and David back in the near future. Romaine seems to be a bit of an unknown and maybe it's better that way in order for him to deal with his situation, which I trust is more important to him that the 2017-2018 basketball season. Granted, it'll take some time to get them up to speed and able to contribute on a regular basis, but the sooner that process can start, the better, IMHO.

Nothing at all against the guys that have been put in an unexpected situation in terms of playing time and responsibility. However, I like to look ahead and am curious what you all think the starters/rotation will be once healthy.

FWIW, I see it this way:

EC,Martin,Hein
Evans,Williams
Tinsley,Williams,Gassman
MY,Bruninga
Fayne,David

Just one fan's thoughts. Fire away.

I was going to say that I wasn’t sure Romaine would help. We probably need spinach.

I’d play Williams over Tinsley and have Bruninga as 6th man in the rotation. Bruninga is going to have a fine career at ISU.

Pretty much agree tho I think Evans will still see significant minutes at point guard. But getting minutes at the off guard will make him a really dangerous scorer for teams to contend with

Completely agree on Bruninga. Tough call on Williams/Tinsley, thought we needed the height and rebounding, also hoping Tinsley will start knocking down some shots, which I think he will.

I like this rotation. My only change would be to switch Bruninga and David.

Agree with starters. I think it will be an 8 man rotation in the end. Tinsley, Williams and Bruninga off the bench. Don’t expect the other guys to play much.

I agree with you. Play three guards. Why not with EC being 6'4. Put Tinsley in if we're playing a larger, rebounding kind of team, or until he starts shooting better.

From what I've seen from Hein this year, I would venture so far as to say I would play Litwiller over him. Is that wrong? Probably. But oh well

The zone would be tough with all that length! Will be interesting to see how Elijah and Milik play together.

Bruninga needed a redshirt big time to physically mature. His basketball skills are rock solid. When he is out there against other team's bigs he is likely 3 years younger on average. On occasion he may be 4 to 5 years younger and you can see it big time as he physically looks like a high school kid going up against grown men. I personally really like what I see in his skills and basketball IQ and he will do well long term at ISU.

I would probably switch Williams and bruninga but agree here. Williams is our best defender and it’s not close.

This is how I see the team if fully healthy by Arch Madness. If Romine returns he's a part of the 9 man rotation. If not, we're going 8 and making it work.

All guys under the dotted line are break glass if necessary guys.

I agree with this but not sure we start David right away.
