The last couple of times I've tried to listen to games on my phone (football or basketball) I haven't been able to get them on the iHeart Radio app. The station is on there, and I was able to get the games on there last year, but so far every time I try that recently, it's just a regular radio show. Is anybody else experiencing this and/or does anyone have a solution?

JBC is not really supposed to be on I heart Radio at all anymore. Their contract was up a while back (like 2ish years). The Tune in radio app is a partner with Learfield. If you use that, you shouldn't have a problem. Learfield is very particular about who gets to broadcast their games. The men's basketball game wasn't even on the actual radio (Am1230) on Saturday because in Learfields eyes football holds precedent. Essentially, the I heart radio stream is the stream from WJBC.com, who also doesn't get to broadcast ISU games (to my knowledge). It's like trying to stream Cardinals baseball on WJBC.com, WJBC does not have the rights to do that.

I didn't realize that changed this year. Thanks!

Neither I Heart or Tune in worked for me.

Was that this week? I would imagine they had some hiccups this being the first week with there being fb and bb the same day and overlapping times.

Tried Tune in for the first time last Saturday. No luck. Even when I come to town for night basket ball games I listen to iHeart for the post game when the radio signal drops.

I’ve used the RadioPup app for the last several years with no issues. Highly recommend it!

It wasn't on JBC on the radio, but was broadcast on 93.7-FM locally due to the football game. Not sure if they offer a stream

TuneIn radio Illinois State Redbirds sports network.

I'm listening to Illinois St. Redbirds Sports Network with @TuneInSports. #NowPlaying http://tun.in/sfyln

This is right on the mark. Learfield has the internet broadcast rights, not WJBC. Learfield markets with TUNEIN app. Use the TUNEIN app and search for "ILLINOIS STATE", (not WJBC). Birds will be there! Happy listening!

I used RadioPup prior to this season, but I think Learfield put a fork in it. TuneIn worked fine for me for the Lewis game. Didn't check it for the FGCU game, but I suspect any issues experienced with TuneIn were a result of being on 93.7 FM rather than 1230 AM.

Thanks..that was the problem. Tune in for JBC instead of ISU.

Really other way around: TUNEIN for Illinois State, not WJBC.

RadioPup still works. I’ve used it for most football games this year, as well as the FGCU game.

Interesting. Didn't work for me for Lewis game. Didn't check for FGCU. Listened to an actual radio, and watched ESPN3 on mute to hear Matty's commentary.
